Since the last removal of the mail account and creating a new account, the sync has taken 2 days and gets stuck. Tried to download headers only but the settings in File/Options/send&receive/Edit/Gmail account then downloading headers only and unchecking folder uread tried to repair Outlook from Programs and Features I have tried muliple solutions from the standard microcoft forums but nothing worked.

If not, would Microsoft please create a fix? I dont see why I need to upgrade from Office 2010, and from the looks of the forums, it seems that even Office 2016 seems to have compatibility issues with Gmail sync. I would imagine there are others out there experiencing the same issue.įrom other forums it seems like Windows 10 has a lot of compatibility issues with other mail platforms like Yahoo as well as Gmail, so if there is a solution, I would love I have tried multiple settings and suggestions from the forums and wasted maybe 30+ hours trying to get this sorted to no avail.
In Outlook, I run my microsoft exchange account for work and my gmail account for personal.Įverything was running fine until about a month ago, (probably some pesky update!) when my sync started slowing down dramatically for my gmail account when I exit Outlook. Im running Office 2010 Professional on a Windows 10 HP Spectre which is pretty fast.
